Recently, an anonymous post alleging that member Ian was a school bully has gone viral online.

Here is the content of the post:
“I can’t believe you finally debuted. I was really surprised when I heard you were debuting.
How can someone who lived so trashy think about debuting so shamelessly?
Your fans are already feeling uneasy. I still vividly remember how in elementary school, you suddenly threw a rock at a boy you didn’t like, breaking the school aquarium and causing a flood on the first floor ㅋㅋ On top of that, your mother came to school pretending to be a victim, turned the staff room upside down, and even went to the boy’s mother to demand an apology. Your family is too famous for all the wrong reasons. Even now, our seniors and juniors remember that incident, and the rumor has already spread to the high school our seniors went to.
AdvertisementWhile one incident might be considered a mishap, the people around you know how bad you really are. Remember when you hit your friend? That time your so-called friend recorded you and posted it on the school class homepage, even though it was deleted, everyone who needed to know, knows.
And do you remember how many people avoided being in the same group as you during class because of your uncooperative behavior? When we got to middle school, you and some of your friends talked badly about and even sexually harassed some teachers, including the homeroom teacher. You might not remember because you did so many bad things, but many of us who respected those teachers were really angry about it. Honestly, seeing how you acted, some people go down the wrong path over time, but I realized that some people are just born with bad personalities, like you.
And thinking about how I had to attend the academy your mom ran makes me too embarrassed to even talk about it. If you read this, pass the message on. I don’t know if this will be the last time I reach out, but after you dropped out, your friend got caught smoking at school, and one even got in big trouble for bullying a junior. Seeing that, I thought birds of a feather flock together. If you hadn’t dropped out to become a trainee, that could have been you.
AdvertisementI tried to control my anger and write this as calmly as possible, but if I said there’s no malice in this, I’d be lying. Still, you and the people who know you will admit that there’s no lie or exaggeration in this. We’re now in 10th grade, and unlike you, I have to study, so it’s a bit ridiculous that I’m writing this now, but I hope that at least the people who like you know what kind of life you’ve lived and what kind of person you are.
Even if this gets out and puts you at a disadvantage, don’t blame me. It’s your life. Out of all the people I’ve ever met, you are by far the worst.
Congratulations on your debut, Jeong Ian.”

1. “The worst person I’ve ever met is you. Congratulations on your debut, Jung Ian.” ㅋㅋ Even web novel dialogue isn’t this cringe these days people would roast it so hard. Feels like they just watched “The Glory” and got inspired to rant.
2. It’s just so funny that I don’t even know how to react… Feels like I’m reading some old-school 2013 KakaoStory drama.
3. It reminds me of that aespa trainee bullying rumor that ended with “Clap! Clear!” ㅋㅋ I seriously didn’t believe it back then, but it was wild seeing so many people buy into it.
4. The intelligence level of those who believe this…
5. It’s just an SM girl group initiation ritual at this point ㅋㅋ Every single time, they start with these ridiculously over-the-top fake stories to ruin their reputation. Back when aespa debuted, people literally made up that all four members teamed up to kick out trainees, did a high-five while saying “Clear!” and that one trainee even took their own life because of them. They even mass-called SM, claiming they’d get aespa’s debut canceled. But then, former SM trainees (especially the girls) were seen taking photobooth pics with aespa after debut, and there were even eyewitness accounts of them hanging out overseas. And this isn’t new – way back in Sulli’s era, the rumors were insane. People straight-up fabricated stories, saying they saw her high on drugs in an airplane bathroom, adding all these fake “detailed” descriptions to make it sound real. SM girl groups always go through this nonsense… Sigh.
